Meet Keisha, my ‘Pet of the Week’!
Keisha came to be with the Central Dakota Humane Society along with her brother dog and sister cat when her human passed away:( She is a bit older, at eight years old, but has many wonderful years left to give a family all the love they could handle! It always makes me SO sad when pets are left behind after losing their owner. It has to be so very confusing & heartbreaking. Plus, people seem to always look past the senior dogs...but I assure you, Keisha would give you so very much more than she would ever expect in return if you give her a chance.
Keisha is such a great dog, likes to socialize with people, loves to go for leisurely walks and would love to move into a home where she can relax and enjoy her retirement years.
Keisha qualifies for CDHS’s ‘Friends Fur Life Program’. A person 65 and older can adopt a pet 6yrs and older for a waived adoption fee PLUS will receive a $50 gift card from KT Animal Supply.
If you’re not ready to add a fur baby to your family, please share Keisha’s story so we can get her back into a home where she belongs.

- Lemonade Day and Papa Murphy’s Pizza at CDHS – Saturday, July 23rd. Pick up your free pizza slice and buy some lemonade at the shelter! Just a fun day to stop out for a visit.
- Dog Days Deals Rummage Sale – intake is going on now thru Aug. 6th during regular shelter hours. The sale will be going on Aug. 10th (4-6 pm), Aug. 11th & 12th (9 am-6 pm), and Aug. 13th (9 am – 2 pm)
