Meet Veris…this week’s ‘Pet of the Week’! Veris is a 9 month old kitten who came to be with Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue after an owner surrender:( He is SUCH a sweet boy, up-to-date on shots, and loves playing with other cats & toys. This poor little guy has some anxiety of being alone but his foster mom is helping him to work on soothing his fears. He had Panleukopenia(distemper), which a lot of kittens don’t make it through but this tough boy has recovered, is vaccinated & no longer contagious.

There have been a larger number of owner surrenders & strays left at animal impound lately and a VERY low number of fosters with the animal rescues so they are desperate to add more fosters, adopters, volunteers, etc....so places like Furry Friends Rockin' Rescue can continue rescuing more animals. Right now though...they are busting at the seams:(
Community support is needed to rally Fosters, adopters, etc. People having issues with their pets, please consider training and or working with vets to ensure they’re addressing the root causes to minimize # of animals in need.
Another way you can help is...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE vaccinate and or spay/neuter your animals...that would help sooo very much!
