Meet Archie, this week’s ‘Pet of the Week’! Archie’s journey hasn’t been the easiest as he was picked up by Animal Control & was then brought to Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue. He has a loving foster mama, Heather, and was so excited because he thought he finally found his ‘fur-ever’ home when he was adopted. But, sadly, he was brought back to Furry Friends because of not getting along with kitties…I mean…he’s a dog…not all dogs like cats:)
Archie is almost 1 year old, he’s a beautiful lab/golden retriever mix, up-to-date on shots, just got neutered, is SUCH a sweet boy that loves to play, give hugs, loves car rides, playing with other puppies and is SO hoping to finally find a loving home that he can get settled in, feel safe and not have abandonment issues anymore:(

Furry Friends Rockin’ Recue want to remind everyone that rescues and shelters everywhere in the state are suffering for a few different reasons: With spring/puppy-kitten season & people wanting to surrender their animals (please get your pets spayed/neutered to help prevent even more litters at large without resources), impounds are filling up & adoption rates are VERY low. Summer means people are busier than before and the number of fosters are very low so rescues can’t help very many until animals get adopted. And with other rescue partners suffering the same - transports are not happening since literally NO ONE has room.
