Meet this weeks 'Pets of the Week'...Kip and Corrina! These two 8-month old beauties are a brother/sister sibling pair who would LOVE to go home together. Both are up-to-date on shots, neutered/spayed, VERY sweet, love to socialize, are a little bit shy...but getting better every day:)
BTW...Kip is a very unique cat – one we’ve never seen before. He is called a Lykoi cat (see some info below). It comes from a genetic hiccup and is normally found in feral or stray colonies.
KIP
Approximate DOB: August 2021
Origin: Abandoned/Rescue Transfer
"I came to CDHS with my mom and my sister after being abandoned in a house. I am happy to say that we have become playful, happy kittens. I would love to find a home where I can run and play and nap, nap, nap."
You may have noticed that Kip is partially hairless This is not due to any disease or issue he is experiencing. Kip is called a Lykoi cat. The Lykoi cat, sometimes called the "werewolf cat," is considered to be a partially hairless cat. There is no true undercoat, and parts of the body, such as the eyes, chin, nose, muzzle and behind the ears are commonly hairless. The exposed skin, ears and nose feel similar to leather. Most cats will molt some or all of their coat, occasionally leaving them to appear even more naked than usual. This is normal for Lykoi cats, and not associated with a disease. Google "Lykoi cat" and you will see many pictures of cats that looks just like Kip!

"I came to CDHS with my mom and my brother after being abandoned in a house. There were some scary times, and we were nervous but so glad to be at CDHS. My brother, Kip, and I went to live with a foster family, and they helped us learn how to trust humans. We are just fun-loving, playful, and nap-taking kittens. We would love to have a home together."
