If you didn't know, it's "National Suicide Prevention Week", and you might be surprised to learn, that suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US.
In 2018, an estimated 48,344 Americans died by suicide.
Because so many of us have been affected by this issue, AFSP - North Dakota Chapter has decided to host a Virtual Experience this Sunday at 2pm CT.

In the wake of COVID-19, the ceremony, usually hosted as a community walk, has been moved to an online experience in order to keep everyone safe and healthy.

- In 2018, men died by suicide 3.56x more often than women.
- On average, there are 132 suicides per day.
- White males accounted for 69.67% of suicide deaths in 2018.
- In 2018, firearms accounted for 50.57% of all suicide deaths.
