NORTH DAKOTA: Mandan HS to Hold Graduation Ceremony May 22-24th

Mandan HS to Hold Graduation Ceremony May 22-24th

Mandan Public Schools, the Mandan Park Board and Custer Health, announced that they intend to hold a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020 during the weekend of May 22-24.

Following the guidance set forth yesterday by NDDPI certain accommodations will still be necessary to conduct a "North Dakota Smart Restart" event. This will include: limiting access, seat spacing, and some changes to the ceremony to limit direct person-to-person contact.

They are limiting guests to four per graduate.

Additional guidance/instruction will be provided to seniors and their families before graduation weekend.

They intend to hold the ceremony at its originally scheduled time of 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 24th; however, if the weather does not permit, the ceremony may be moved to either 11:00 am on Saturday, May 23rd or 6:30 pm Friday evening May 22nd.

A final decision on the time will be made early in the week of May 18th.

For those who are unable to attend in person, a Livestream and recorded version of the event is being made available.

MPS will also be providing photographers to take pictures of graduates as they receive their diplomas. The video and photos will be made available to families, free of charge, after the event.  Graduates unable to attend the ceremony will have their diploma mailed to them after the ceremony.

Again, further details about the ceremony will be distributed at a later time.
